Companies I and K


This unit served as national guards, with Companies I and K from Adams County. The commissioned officers of Company K were: George Kirker, captain; John N. Morris, first lieutenant; Ellis Washburn, second lieutenant.

Of Company K, the commissioned officers were: Simon M. Fields, captain; Robert Parker, first lieutenant, and Thomas Hayslip, second lieutenant. It was mustered into service. 11 May 1864, and mustered out 03 Sep 1864.

During its service it was stationed at Charleston, W. Va. There were no casualties in either company.
