Edna Mae Bayless


Edna Mae Bayless, age 86, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, April 27 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

She was born March 1, 1914 near West Union, the daughter of the late James F. and Myrtie Belle (Roush) Bissinger.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Ross of Waverly, Aletha Fenner, Judy and Don Crago, Glenna and Dave Burkard, Janice and David Smith, all of Hillsboro, sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Vickie Bayless and Dale and Joan Bayless, all of Hillsboro, one brother, Donald Bissinger of West Union, seventeen grandchildren, fourteen greatgrandchildren, one greatgreat-grandson, several nephews and one niece.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Black, on December 19, 1941, her second husband Carey L. Bayless on May 9, 1982, one grandson, Michael Ross, two brothers, Glenn and Sherwood "Woody" Bissinger and two sons-in-law, Dwayne Fenner and Bobby Ross.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hamer Township Cemetery with Dr. D.R. Lamb officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, 318 Chillicothe Avenue, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 or to the charity of donor's choice.
