Roy Farmer

A precious Dad from us is gone / His voice we loved is still; / His place is vacant in the home / Which never can be filled. The Farmer family is shackled by grief, shocked by death, and saddened by it's loneliness. Roy Farmer came into this life on May 10,1892, and left this world of life some 81 years, 5 mo. and 16 days later on Oct.26, 1973. Roy was a retired timber worker, being at home at the time of his death. He had been ill in health for the past years which made it impossible for him to go to church services regularly, as he was affiliated with The Church of Christ and Christian Union Hill Church. He was one of six children born in Pike county to Mr Frank and Samaria (Eblin) Farmer and is preceded in death by parents and two brothers, and leaves two brothers and one sister to morn his passing: Mr Leslie and Mr Pete Farmer, both of Peebles OH, and Mrs Wilda Goodwin of Cincinnati OH. He was married in Pike county in the year of 1915 to Mre Lola (Jordan) Farmer who survises him, and for 58 precious years there were no bad health and no graves on the hillside of glory. Roy will be sadly missed not only by those who loved him, but also his friends and neighbors who knew him well, and may these next few lines be of comfort to those of his family who are deeply greived today. "'If you ask it shall be given.'" So he spoke in Galilee, and the comfort of that promise still is blessing you and me. If you ask you'll find the answers to your problems that arise, and his counsel for your guidance. will be always good and wise, If you knock, it shall be opened. Doors once closed will now swing wide. For no word of all he promised will be canceled or denied ask, seek, knock, find."
