Thomas H. Hazelbaker
Thomas H. Hazelbaker, 80, of West Union, died Monday, December 5, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. Mr. Hazelbaker was born August 21, 1914, at Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, on December 8, 1992. He was the son of the late Victor and Anna Caraway Hazelbaker. Mr. Hazelbaker was a former West Union Insurance Agent for 31 years and a member of the West Union United Methodist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Betty Jo Merle of Pickerington, Ann DeBord of West Union, and Terri Sue Smolewaki of Baltimore; three sons, Dale Hazelbaker of Springfield, John Hazelbaker of West Union and Thomas D. Hazelbaker of Middletown; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Hazelbaker of West Union and Carl Hazelbaker of Blue Creek. Private graveside services will be held Thursday at the West Union Cemetery. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 8, at the West Union United Methodist Church under the direction of the Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union, Rev. Elford Hoff and Rev. Theron Smith officiating. Visitaton will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday (today), at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Union United Methodist Church.
