Bertha Jayne
Bertha Jayne, 74, of Buck Hollow Road, Beaver, died Monday at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. She was born 01 Nov 1925 in Wheelersburg KY, the daughter of John Brack and Myrtle (Caudill) Rigsby. She was a homemaker and a member of Mary Chapel United Baptist Church, Waverly. She was preceded in death on 20 Jun 1995 by her husband, Robert Jayne, whom she married 10 Mar 1950. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Paul Rigsby, and one granddaughter, Tammy Conley. She is survived by five sons, Woodrow (Sybilla) Conley, Lakeland FL, Ernie (Cindy) Conley, Beaver, Tim (Jackie) Jayne, Waverly, Robert (Connie) Jayne Jr., Beaver, and Wayne (Karla) Jayne Sr, Beaver; seven brothers, Roy Rigsby, Stoutsville, James (Mark) Rigsby , Beaver, Joseph (Joe) Rigsby, Columbus, Herman Rigsby, Lancaster, Thurman Rigsby, Waverly, Corbett Rigsby, Columbus, and John B. Rigsby Jr, Columbus; five sisters, Martha Bliss, New Boston, Ethel Lehman, Apple Valley CA, Mary Justice, Peebles, Margaret Smith, Groveport, and Garnet Sue Coston, San Antonio TX; and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mary Chapel United Baptist Church with Elders Arvil Murray Jr., Samuel Murray and John Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Union Cemetery. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home, Beaver, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
