Michael Kemmeter


Manchester---ill for some time, Michael (Mike) Kemmeter, 79, who made his home with a brother, Gus Kemmeter, three miles west of Manchester, died early Friday at the residence.

He was born December 7, 1873, at Cincinnati, a son of the late Frank and Mary Neudorfer Kemmeter.

Mr. Kemmeter was a former buyer for the burley tobacco pool, traveling through Kentucky and other tobacco states. Following his retirement, he lived at Newport until he came to Manchester three years ago.

Surviving are two brothers, Gus with whom he made his home and Fred of Manchester and a sister, Mrs. Nettie Harris of Dayton.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home. Rev. Smith, pastor of St. Mary Church, officiated and burial was in Manchester I.O.O.F. cemetery.
