Ruth Powell
Ruth Powell, 59, of Otway, died Wednesday, November 16, in Scioto Memorial Hospital in Portsmouth. Born at Blue Creek on January 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Verna and Bessie Mingus Williams. Surviving are her husband, Herbert Powell; two sons, Roger Powell of McDermott and Larry Powell of Hesperia, California; one daughter, Peggy Jenkins of Otway, 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Carolyn Barton ot Tucson, Arizona and Betty Moore of Blue Creek. Services were Saturday, Novmeber 19, at the Church of God on Sunshine Ridge Road near Blue Creek, Rev. Thomas Stepp officiating. Burial was in the Sunshine Ridge Cemetery.
