Mary Shoemaker
Mary Shoemaker, 78, of Goshen, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born in Adams County on Dec. 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Alvin and Rosa (Riley) White. She was a former member of the Peebles Lions Club. Survivors include one daughter and son-law, Margaret Ross of Goshen; two brothers, Everett White of Rarden and Lane White of Peebles; one sister, Janie Shoemaker of Peebles; two grandsons, Tom Ross and Dave Ross; two great-grandchildren, Natalie Ross and Kelly Ross; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Shoemaker, on Oct. 20, 1993. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Rodney Roark officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral Home.
