Pearl Peterson Shaw
Pearl Peterson Shaw, 100, of 900 Portsmouth Road, Peebles, passed away Monday, March 27, at Brookside Senior Center in Peebles. She was born October 10, 1894, in the Locust Grove community, the daughter of Sylvester and Cecilia Dunbar Seaman. Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Peterson, and her second husband, George Shaw, and 12 brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ and Mt. Zion Church of Christ. Mrs. Shaw was also a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens. Surviving are three daughters, Marie McCoy of Peebles, Ann Mackey of Kettering and Mary Campbell of Dayton; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, at 1:00 p.m., at the Peebles Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with Bill Christman officiating. The Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
