Will of John Satterfield, deceased.

"Be it remembered that at a Court of Probate begun and held at the Court House in the Town of West Union, County of Adams and State of Ohio, on the 24th day of May A.D. 1910, an instrument of writing was produced, purporting to be a complete and true copy of the Last Will and Testament of John Satterfield late of this County, deceased."

In the Matter of the Relationship of the Record of the Last Will and Testament of John Satterfield, deceased.

A copy of the Last Will and Testament of John Satterfield, late of Adams County, Ohio, deceased, duly certified under the hand and seal of the Probate Judge of Adams County, Ohio, to be a true copy of the original will, was this day presented for Record by Henry C. Stroman, one of the beneficiaries under said will; and therefore it being made to appear to the satisfaction of the Court that the record of said original will was destroyed by the burning of the Court House of this Adams County, Ohio, on the 25 day of February 1910 and that said original will was admitted to Probate and record by the Probate Court of Adams County, Ohio on the 22nd day of November A.D. 1897 and said will was recorded in Vol. 11 Page 412 Record of Wills of Adams County, Ohio. The Court now orders that said copy be recorded in Record of Wills of this Court as provided by law and that said record take the place of said original record. It is further ordered that notice of the Admission to record of the copy of said Will be given by publication for three consecutive weeks, in two weekly news-papers of this County, as required by law, and that record be made of said notice when completed.

CERTIFIED COPY OF WILL

The State of Ohio Adams County ss.

In Probate Court, November Term, 1897. In the Matter of the Will of Journal Vol 11 Page 412 John Satterfield, dec'd.

Will:

Whereas, I John Satterfield of West Union, Ohio, am anticipating an Inheritance from my Ancestors, through my mother Margaret Satterfield who was the daughter of Margaret McClain, who was a daughter of Abraham Brewer, and for the disposition of the same when received do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament

Item 1st - It is my will and desire that my agent Henry C. Stroman and my attorney in fact George W. Williams, shall each have five percent of the whole amount received as a compensation for their services in procuring Inheritance.

Item 2nd - It is my will and desire that all my just debts if any, and my funeral expenses and expense of Administering on my estate be paid.

Item 3rd - I give and bequeath to Noah Maddox and his wife Caroline One fourth part of the residue of my estate.

Item 4th - I give and bequeath to Henry C. Stroman One fourth part thereof.

Item 5th - I give and bequeath to M.E. Church in West Union, Ohio One fourth part thereof.

Item 6th - I give and bequeath to Baptist Church in West Union, Ohio One fourth part thereof.

Item 7th - I do hereby nominate and appoint my Friend Henry C. Stroman, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby fully authorizing him to execute any deeds of release or requital that may be necessary in the final adjustment of the Estate.

In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my brand this 3rd day of June A.D. 1896
